Located in the region of Safor, on the edge of the mediterranean sea, well communicated by road i railway, is located in 75 km of the capital Valencia already 120 km from the city ofAlicante, where the main ones are located airports. The surface is completely flat and the only accident of relief is the low and sandy coast, forming a 500m silver with a big quality i cleaning both in the sand as in yours waters, equipped with services i accessible.
The municipal term of Guardamar de la Safor limited to the following localities: daimús, Gandía, bellreguard i Miramar, all of them from the province of Valencia. With a very short distance from others tourist locations like Dénia in the province ofAlicante or spoon in the of Valencia.
Also known as the Alquerieta. ancient Andalusian farmhouse, past the reconquer retained its population untilexpulsion of the Moors in 1609, date in which it had almost a hundredinhabitants. Practically depopulated in the following decades, it became the property of the Tamarit and later it was acquired by Count of Trénor.
Traditionally based on theagriculture. thewater for irrigation comes from river Serpis and of wells, the predominant crops are orange trees, tomatoes i vegetables.
Parish Church. The church building, which is attached to the parish of Miramar, was built in 17th century and was reformed in XIX. It is dedicated to Saint John the Baptist, pattern of sea guard, and the Mother of God of Milk.
PATRON FESTIVALS
August 15: Mother of God of Milk.
June 23: The bonfires of Sant Joan. Once the "low-key" dinner is over, bonfires are made on the beach in order to fulfill the tradition that marks the magical night. Fireworks and batucades enliven this night.
The festive and cultural events begin on the 11th of August and last until the 15th both inclusive. But on the weekends in August prior to the date, multiple events are held in which we must highlight giant pans, games for children, a parade of Moors and Christians, concerts, etc.

- October 31 the night of souls. Children and adults join together to walk the streets of Guardamar.
